Locwind was created in 1994 to fit out a deck and hull of a dynamic 80 bought from Dufour who took over Dynamic Yachts. The quality and seriousness of the accomodation of the first boat,finished a few mont later,attracted visitors at the Cannes,Genoa and Palma de Majorca shows permitting her to receive the name of Dufour 80 Locwind.
The renowned boatbuilder from La Rochelle then decided to extend its collaboration with Locwind entrustin it with the construction of refitting of large boats returning after their period of " defiscalisation "

- 4 Dufour 50' prestige in 1999...
Then Dufour commissioned plugs and moulds from Locwind for new models (Dufour 36) and the building of new Yachts in its " Prestige " range in particular the Dufour 50 Prestige which enjoyed success at the last Paris Boat Show,with three examples built already.
Today, Locwind employs 18 people in its workshops in Aytré (near La Rochelle) and, thanks to the competence of its employees, can undertake all aspects of construction and fitting out of large yachts : Joinery, GRP, plumbing, electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, air conditionning, fitting, installing keels and rigging, etc… right up to launching and sea trials.
