For 30 years, the principles of mass marketing have dominated the leisure boat industry. This usually leads to a middle of the road design, to appeal to the broadest possible target. These "products" often fail to satisfy the more discerning sailor.
On the contrary, we produce designs for individuals, yachts that can offer pure sailing and cruising pleasure to the owner and crew. Our goal, the "owner's yacht" born of the experience, innovation and rigorous testing that the discipline of racing provides.
With an extensive background in mathematics and in Naval Architecture, Erik Lerouge is responsible for the overall concept of the boat.
He is known, in France, as an active and enthusiast racer as an experienced offshore sailor.
It is this aspect of our work that has enabled Erik Lerouge Yacht Designs to take a special place in the (small) world of high performance multihull and monohull design.
