Yong Choo Kui Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. was formed in 1976 with the core business of shipbuilding and repairs. Base on our unique skills, experiences and hardworks, we manage to grow and expand our shipyard from one acre to seven acres. We also set up Poly Trading Company in 1988 in order to provide hardwares and materials for shipbuilding.
In the mid-eighties, our company became the first to use aluminium alloy to build passenger crafts in Borneo. This has brought about a break through in the cruise speed, as well as less maintenance cost and less spray during navigation. Today, we have become the standard bearer of the passenger craft industy in Malaysia.
For the past few years, we have also excelled in building various types of tug boats. With endless efforts, we have made inroads on the international markets such as Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Philippines, China etc.
