Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jurong Shipyard, SembCorp Marine owns 70 per cent of Maua Jurong SA, the only major shipyard that is strategically situated in the Guanabara Bay and before the Rio-Niteroi Bridge in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With a land area of 180,377 square metres, Maua Jurong's core business is in ship repair, shipbuilding, fabrication of topside process modules, conversion and construction of floating production and drilling units for deep-water oil and gas exploration and production.
