ALM Corporation was founded in 1982. The company commenced operations after successfully negotiating an exclusive license for distribution of specialized lifting equipment throughout North America. While enjoying success as a distributor, the company's primary intent was to eventually manufacture its own line of specialized and custom designed lifts. This became a reality in 1987 when ALM constructed a modern 30,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Streator, Illinois, with manufacturing operations commencing shortly thereafter. The manufacturing facility was expanded to 55,000 square feet in late 1990. ALM's modern facility allows us the capability to meet the ever increasing demands of productivity and service with unsurpassed commitment to safety in the lifting equipment we design, manufacture and sell.
