Drahtseilwerk GmbH had its origins as a rope works. In 1934 the Wilhelm von Hofe company took over the factory at the mouth of the river Weser. The first products of the wire rope works were towing and mooring ropes for ships and trawl warps for the fishing fleets.
From the very beginning wire ropes from Drahtseilwerk were synonymous with quality. Our gaol since 1934 has been to deliver the highest possible quality. This, combined with reliable delivery, guarantees customer satisfaction.
Our plant in Bremerhaven can draw on the skills and know-how of a workforce with countless years of experience. In the 1980's the production of ropes from compacted strands was introduced and the beginning of the 1990's saw the extension of our range to include special non-spinning ropes.
