Company Profile

Cassina operates at an industrial level in the contemporary furnishing sector, with special skills relative to upholstered furniture wood and leather, working as well as with other precious materials. It produces chairs, tables, armchairs, sofas, furniture items and beds.
Some of the basic objectives of the company include the obtainment of the highest quality through an excellent combination of industrial technology and artisan manufacturing procedures, the ever-increasing development of its own research capacities at what is already an internationally recognized level and the preservation of its historical values and traditions.
The products in the Cassina collection reveal the company mission. Different languages and cultures are embraced, and ample space is given to experiments in style and materials.
Many Cassina products appeared futuristic on their debut, and several were almost disconcerting. However, time and the company's farsightedness in continuing to present these pieces have made them classics that blend perfectly with the rest of the collection.
Production is divided as follows: 70% for contemporary design furniture items and 30% for those from the "Cassina I Maestri" collection, reproductions, under a worldwide exclusive agreement, of furniture designed by the great Masters of architecture and design of the past: Le Corbusier, Charles R. Mackintosh, Frank Lloyd Wright, Gerrit T. Rietveld, E. Gunnar Asplund.
Some of the most important designers have worked on and continue to work on the contemporary design collection. Among the others Franco Albini, Mario Bellini, Andrea Branzi, Achille Castiglioni, Paolo Deganello, Gianfranco Frattini, Toshiyuki Kita, Vico Magistretti, Gaetano Pesce, Gio Ponti, Afra and Tobia Scarpa and Sottsass Associati, Paolo Rizzato, Josep Lluscą, Philippe Starck.
