Lightolier is a company with a rich history of growth and innovation. Founded in 1904, it introduced track lighting in the 1960's and pioneered high-performance fluorescent lighting and lighting systems for stores and office work spaces in the 1970's. In 1986, Lightolier created the first digital dimmer and entered the lighting controls market. Throughout the 1990's, Lightolier has concentrated on Energy Smart lighting.
In 1994, Lightolier moved its headquarters to Fall River, Massachusetts. In addition, Lightolier has manufacturing and distribution facilities in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, and Mexico. Our TechCenter, supports professional visits and educational seminars.
Lightolier actively supports the development and adoption of good lighting. The company is a Sustaining Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and owns other companies: Translite Sonoma, Lightolier Controls, Fibre Light systems and Canlyte.
