Company Profile

Mathew Marine Inc. was started in 1970 as little shop in Athens, Greece. As the 70's progressed the company saw an opportunity to bring its services to the United States, so in 1976 the company moved to New York. There it saw its business grow at an unprecedented speed, so much so in fact that in 1982 Mathew Marine was opened in Houston. Throughout the early 80's the company continued to grow through its quality work and cost-effective prices. When the recession of the late 80's hit the United States, while most companies where disappearing, Mathew Marine's ingenuity and workmanship allowed the company to get through what was a difficult time for most companies. The early 90's showed a new resurgence in the ship repair market as well as new opportunities in in-land markets. Currently MathMar is based in Houston, TX and New Orleans, LA, but our expertise allows us to travel the world and perform repairs or fabrication anywhere at anytime. Mathew Marine has embraced the high paced technological age, which we live in. It is, therefore, able to constantly meet customers’ demands in a timely a cost-effective manner.
In the thirty years Mathew Marine has existed there have been many changes in the market, yet Mathew Marine has been able to adapt to the requirements, which has not only allowed it to service our customer needs all these years, but to further ensure its dominance in the market place for many years to come.
