Bellevue Shipyard International was founded in 1958 under the name of "Can Deniz / Gorkem Yat ltd". Since then the yard has built many yachts with the distinctive semi displacement hull, more commonly known as a flyer. This hull design has a fine reputation for being sea kindly, dry, fuel efficient and easy to get on to the plane.
Testament to the innovative mind from the founder of the shipyard, Mr. Bilal Can. Over the years, the second generation of the Can family, Ersin and Ergin Can, joined the company and were completely trained in-house providing them with ever expanding know-how about wooden ship building, technology and engineering.
The experience gained during more than 40 years, gives them at Bellevue Shipyard International the opportunity to build motor yachts, under the management of the brothers Can, that meet the demands for absolute comfort and quality required by today's yacht owners.
BELLEVUE Shipyard International is a new name, but not a new player in the field of super yacht building. Established under a new name in 1999, as a new generation of yacht builders, and set to change the face of yacht building in Turkey. The President CEO Alper Ekmekcibasi has more than 10 years of experience as an executive in yacht building whilst the Chairman Harrie van Asselt, who comes from the Netherlands, has his whole live experience in the maritime field, and has been active as an executive for the last 35 years, now working together with a Dutch / Turkish team of experts.
BELLEVUE has designed, owned and operated yachts between 14 and 40 meters and are fully confident in all the expectations of the discerning owners. All their yachts are custom built and subjected to strict inspections and quality procedures during construction. Yachts are designed, built and fitted out to meet the most rigorous standards in yacht building, the criteria of all the major international classification societies such as Lloyds 100A1, Bureau Veritas, R.I.N.A., MCA, etc.
