AMIA, founded in 2000, is officially registered in Lebanon. The association has more than 30 members, including manufacturers, exclusive dealers for boats and accessories, charter and brokerage agents, marina operators and service providers. AMIA is a non-profit organization that aims to meet the needs of the Arab Marine Industry by providing its members with information on standard certification, representing them and gaining global exposure in international marine events, providing marketing support, increasing consumer awareness on marine safety regulations, providing periodical information about the progress of the marine business in the Middle East, developing new projects and providing up-to-date information on customs duties and registration procedures. AMIA represented its members at the Dusseldorf 2001 and 2002 exhibitions, the Middle East International Boat Show, Dubai 2001 & 2002 and the Monaco Yacht Show 2001 & 2002.
