AWID (Applied Wireless Identifications Group, Inc.), a Delaware corporation, was founded in 1997 to commercialize 125kHz, 13.56 MHz and 915/2450 MHz RFID components and sub-systems. The company is jointly funded by high-tech manufacturing companies and venture capital firms. Current funding will sustain AWID well beyond its product development and marketing phases for all three product categories.
