In March 1984,the enterprise was established. In May 1988, they began to produce high-grade pure ramie fabric to export and they were given the title of High Quality Product by Textile Ministry. In September 1988, the enterprise was named Shaoxing General Mill of Wool & Flax Textile. In 1989 and 1990, the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture elected them as a nationwide advanced enterprise. In 1991, they were awarded the 7th 5-Year-Plan Enterprise Technology Progress by Ministry of Agriculture.
In 1992, they won the free right of input and export.
On 8 December 1993, Zhejiang Hemboug Light Textile Group Corporation was established. In 1993, they set up Hemboug General weaving Mill, which introduced water-jet loom from Japan. They also set up the Hemboug General Dyeing and Arranging Mill and introduced four assembly lines for dyeing, printing and arranging flax, cotton, chemical fiber, T/C fabric. Hemboug Real Estate Development Company was established too.
In 1994, they were evaluated as the national large-sized enterprise and provincial civilization unit.
In May, 1995 they were renamed Hemboug Corporation and became one of the nationwide township group enterprises.
In 1996, they set up Hemboug dressmaking Co., Ltd. to professionally manufacture Hemboug brand western-style clothes. Hemboug western-style clothes was awarded the gold medal in Quality Products Fair of China New Tech Achievement in 1996. In the same year they set up Hemboug Group U. S. Branch.
In April, Hemboug group gained gold medal at the China International Dress and Personal Adornment Trade Fair.
In September, the 1st store of Hemboug western-style clothes was opened.
In Oct., became the experimental enterprise of nationwide modern enterprise system.
In March 1998, Hemboug Group carried out ISO9002 international quality attestation standard in all western-style clothes product lines.
In May, annexed Shaoxing production base with French Wild Duck Brand western-style clothes. Annual output of western-style clothes up to 300,000 suits. Became one of the three largest western-style clothes production enterprises in Zhejiang province.
In Sep, Hemboug Group Company Identify System accomplished and announced. New brand sign start entirely.
