Florentino Cacheda was born in Lalín (Galícia) where he spent his childhood. Florentino began his career in Barcelona, there he stayed for a period of four years, combining a job in the read-to-wear industry with his design studies.
Florentino was set up in 1970 and, in 1975, it assumed the mentality of an enterprise, creating work schemes, preparing people, paying attention to technology and creating an image for its products.
From 1981 onwards Florentino developed two different but coherent visions on how to dress, a renewed classical line as well as a more casual one.
The eighties experience a boom of international trade shows. Florentino was present at the best, most well known fairs.
Florentino’s products reached international markets like the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Holland and the Scandinavian countries.
Florentino began the decade of the nineties by creating a consolidated business group, establishing a market position and enough solvencies to take on future expansions. It was in this period when exportation began to the USA.
The company has big business and commercial projects for this century, among which there is an outstanding challenge to begin a collection for women, and launch a new industrial plant for ready-made outwear.
