Kashori, a Sanskrit word for meaning eternal youth, has been translated into a clothing line for all women using exquisite silks and fabrics from the bazaars of India. In the fall of 1993, after 12 years of practicing architecture in Israel and New York, Kashori's head designer decided to follow and old dream of visting exotic India. After spending a month in an amazing ashram in Pune, she felt she had to stay longer. As the season had changed she needed different clothing. In India, you don't usually fo to a department store. Instead, you can buy fabric and give it to a tailor. During this process, she fell in love with the saturated vivid colors of the lustrous fabrics. A 60 piece wardrobe was the result of this expedition that became the foundation of Kishori. She continues to travel to India several times a year.
