In 1975 Cottonhouse developed from Ceteco (a former big trading company). The Beatles’ song Day Tripper inspired the founders to the brand name Tripper Jeans, now T.R.P Jeans. Very soon, jackets and later a complete jeans wear clothing line was added. In 1991 Cottonhouse became independent of Ceteco.
Since 1975 Cottonhouse has been carrying the T.R.P Jeans brand. In 1995 a rejuvenation of the collection and the image was carried through, which later on involved the brand name change from Tripper to T.R.P Jeans.
T.R.P Jeans has expanded to one of the leading jeans brands in the Netherlands, known and appreciated for its good fit and quality. In the Netherlands and also in Belgium and Germany, T.R.P Jeans has sales offices. Besides, there are export activities to Portugal, Lithuania, Ireland and the Caribbean. The brand is sold in jean shops and in men’s wear and/or lady’s wear specialist shops with jeans corners.
