Company Profile

This totally Australian company is privately owned and was started by James Ager in 1954. His many innovations in hi-tech breathing equipment include over 30 industry "Firsts", with numerous provisional and patent applications resulting from his tireless commitment to quality. Many of his innovative "firsts", such as the environmentally sealed 1st stage, have appeared Internationally with very little recognition given to the original designer.
A design engineer, diving instructor, and technical consultant, no one person in Australia has been in the industry as long, nor possesses more knowledge in the field of diving technology and equipment design.
Airdive's modern "in-house" CNC engineering and moulding facilities enable most product components to be made on site. This ensures that quality is maintained and costs are more controlled.
With a highly trained and committed staff we manufacture cylinder valves, regulators (standard, balanced and integrated), emergency ISV and IBV units. We also produce oxygen safety gear, H.P. compressors, L.P. SSBA (Surface Supply Breathing Apparatus) products as well as Hydro testing and filling systems.
Our "upstream" second stage regulators are used almost exclusively by the majority of commercial and recreational SSBA diver's within Australia.
Our SCUBA regulator's are regarded by many professional level divers today as "the best regulator they have ever used". Our SVA 2nd stage has, Since 1982, been one of the easiest breathing demand valves with a performance level only recently matched by some of our high priced international competitor's. Many still cannot match our products performance.
Airdive supplies industry, defence and government departments (of Australia and overseas countries), the professional and sporting dive markets, tourist resorts and a growing export market. The company is a member of the SAA, ACM and AOQC, and has been accredited to AS3902/3 for quality control.
In recent years Airdive has expanded its operation into the Fire & Safety and specialised industrial products, mainly within its field of experience with high pressure engineering.
In 1996, Airdive began its transition into a multi industry company as the second generation of Ager's, starting with Peter Ager, began the long process of change within the company.
With entry into specific (at the moment) fire fighting and industrial technologies, Airdive has begun a new phase of growth.
