The Company was incorporated on 29th June 1964 as "The Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd." at Rajahmundry. The Certificate of Commencement of business was obtained on 10th July 1964.
Prior to this known as "Andhra Paper Mills", it was a more than three decades old 10 MT per day plant. Formation of The Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd. with infusion of funds and high calibre management of the well known industrial house of Bangurs of Calcutta.The present plant is producing 300 MT per day. There are five paper machines installed in the mill which produces paper of different M.F & M.G varieties in the range of 21 to 250 GSM. The mill is manufacturing largest range of papers and boards.
While providing direct employment to over 4000 families, the company provides ways and means to another over 10,000 families to earn their bread and butter through indirect job opportunities.
