Founded in 1992, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation (CATIC) Beijing Company is a member of the CATIC Group and now operates as an independent company dealing with its business as a legal entity. Since 1980 it has engaged in international trade, introducing various machinery, complete sets of equipment and production lines, non-aviation product manufacturing technologies for the Chinese aviation industry. These have allowed the Chinese aviation factories to develop rapidly in a very short time, by providing them with the capability for mass-producing civil products, such as vehicles, motorcycles, cooling equipment, textile machinery and light-industrial machinery.
