BATEMAN is an innovative manufacturer of pneumatic-conveying systems and supplies dense, medium and lean-phase pressure systems, vacuum systems, modular conveyors and pneumatic conveyors.The range includes the BATEMAN Pneumo-Drier, and small-goods conveyors such as the BATEMAN BATCAT and Sumetzberger systems. Silo storage systems include multi-compartment silos and classification systems.

Air-pollution control is provided through the supply of electrostatic precipitators, fabric filters, dust-removal systems including wet and dry scrubbers, bag filters and ceramic filtration systems for hot gas (up to1000°C), brine, water and liquid applications.

The markets served are cement, mining and minerals processing, metallurgy, food, petrochemical, power and general industry.

Technologies continue to be explored to expand the present range and markets as well as developing the existing technologies for new applications. One new technology is the advanced hybrid particulate-collection (AHPC) system which combines both electrostatic precipitators and fabric filters into a common chamber and has the potential to reduce emissions to less than 15 mg/m3.The Bateman Capsule Automated Transport System(BATCAT) received a 2000 Design Award from the S.A. Institution of Mechanical Engineering.
