Welness project
The design of an ergonomic seating requires a previous knowledge of human anatomical – physiological and psychological – cognitive characteristics, and of the kind of work performed using a specific kind of seating, and a thorough knowledge of the technology that can be used with the purpose of reaching the complete wellbeing of the user.
For several years MOVING Srl has been collaborating with the CATAS, the largest Italian research and development Institute for wood-furniture companies, together with Dr. Ennio De Dominicis, well-known cardiologist, to reach adequate levels in terms of security and functionality in its products. This collaboration has led, in 2009 to the start of the Well-being Project, a further research involving several companies, with the purpose to advance in ergonomic criteria. Moreover, the intention is to inform clients about the proper use of ergonomic products in order to get maximum benefits from them.

PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION IMAGING
PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION IMAGING
By using the XSENSOR Pressure Imaging technology, with the collaboration of technicians from the CATAS institute, a thorough research has been made over data regarding body weight pressure acquired from each family of MOVING chair. From the analysis of the data and the subsequent graphics it is clear how a homogeneous distribution of the weight both on seat and backrest, corresponds to a correct posture.

CORRECT POSTURE
The proper use of an ergonomic item guarantees benefits in terms of health and well-being. The adjustment of the height of the seat, of the tension of the mechanism and of the lumbar support are simple expedients for the achievement of a correct posture during working hours. Frequent changes of sitting position or standing up for a while prevent from blood circulation pathologies.
