Titanium dioxide

Due to its unique optical properties such as high reflectivity, outstanding brightening capability and chemical stability, titanium oxide (TiO₂) is by far the most important white pigment. Due to these properties virtually all white coloured objects contain TiO₂. The spectrum of use is widely diversified and runs from dyes, paints, plastics and fibres right up to cosmetics, ointments and toothpaste.

Rheinhütte Pumpen has pumps available which are used in the different processes and phases of TiO₂ manufacture. The white substance is mostly produced by the sulfate or the chloride process. Whether chemical standard pumps made of iron silicon, solid plastic or technical ceramics - Rheinhütte pumps have always proven their worth in the production of titanium dioxide.
