M270: ACD’s new generation logistics all-rounder

The new M270 Mobile Handheld Computer is – like its predecessor the M260TE – particularly suitable for scan-intensive activities within logistics and industry.

Due to ever increasing demands on handhelds within warehouse logistics, ACD Elektronik GmbH has developed the Mobile Handheld Computer M270. The M270 uses the secure and very stable Android™ Industrial+ operating system to ensure sufficient system stability even in rough warehouse environments. Android™ Industrial+ can be adapted to customer requirements at any time. Furthermore, ACD provides support, maintains security updates and offers assistance in troubleshooting as well as a fast reaction to security gaps. The advantage of direct and uncomplicated communication with the German manufacturer is irreplaceable and unique on the market

An all-rounder in logistics

As usual, the M270 covers a wide range of applications – mainly within logistics and industry. These include picking in the warehouse and working in the incoming and outgoing goods areas. “The variety of equipment variants already known from the M260TE, as well as its robustness and ergonomic handling, offer the user exactly those features and functionalities that are important in mobile use,” explains ACD Managing Director Andreas Zwißler. These include, for example, a hard-shell quick-entry keyboard for input-intensive processes, various scanner variants, a quick-change battery with simple locking, handle and strap. Other special features of the M270 include a high-resolution VGA display with capacitive touch screen for familiar touch operation and Android™ Industrial+, as well as BT Low Energy (>4.0) and BT Classic for coupling with the Hasci ACD palm scanner.

The Mobile Handheld Computer M270 is consistently oriented towards the needs of logistical and industrial applications and offers an intelligent and above all robust solution for mobile use. In addition to all the usual AutoID functionalities, the M270 has a two-component housing protected all round by rubber coating for high fall protection and a new, functional design. The well thought-out ergonomics ensure fatigue-free working. “In contrast to a handheld, a PDA could also be used industrially, but the devices from the consumer sector are neither suitable for industrial use nor particularly ergonomic. Our quick-entry keyboards in particular are unique in the industry,” explains Andreas Zwißler. The high-quality VGA display with the capacitive touch screen familiar from smartphones enables optimal input. A long battery life, the proven keyboard layout with an easy-to-use quick-entry keyboard and ten customer-specific modifiable function keys offer optimal conditions and increase usability.

The M270 is thus the perfect combination of smartphone and robust industrial device and the ideal companion for all warehouse and logistics processes. The M270 enables efficient working in rough environments.
