New CB ATEX series Manual Chain Hoist by Kito

Kito Europe GmbH has announced the market release of their new series of CB ATEX spark resistant manual hoists and trolleys. The new CB ATEX hoists conform to the EU ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and are thus qualified for the operation in potentially explosive atmosphere. The product offering covers 500kg – 3t capacities, with higher capacities available upon request. Suspension types include top hook, plain trolley and hand geared trolley configurations. The company reports the CB Atex series is targeted at heavy duty users, with several unique design features that benefit these customer segments. Ideal applications include use in petrochem, offshore oil and gas rigs, chemical, mining, paint booth and similar environment applications.

One of the most unique features is the robust body size compared to lighterduty competitor’s models. Many competitive models cannot be used with lifts longer than 3 meters due to brake heat buildup. But Kito’s CB ATEX series has a brake design twice the size and durability of competitive units, resulting in less heat buildup and allowing longer lift lengths than other  odels. The CB ATEX series has a copper coated bottom hook and latch, super-premium NP nickel plated load chain, and stainless steel hand chain. Available for use in T4 temperature environments, the hoist offers safety and security to a wide variety of users.

When supplied with a trolley suspension, the CB ATEX line includes solid bronze wheels through 2 ton capacity, and bronze coated wheels in the 3 ton model. With a hand geared trolley, stainless steel hand chain is standard.
