Hardly any other multi-purpose chair has attracted such huge interest worldwide as skid-base chair Aline/230 range. Created by designer Andreas Störiko, this superbly designed and extremely comfortable stackable chair has won top international design prizes. The chair offers ease of use, impressively light and transparent aesthetics, combined with an equally distinctive and fresh look. These factors encouraged Störiko, in partnership with Wilkhahn, to extend the range successively over the years. Today, swivel visitor chairs, height-adjustable office swivel chairs, bar stools and a system of benches for waiting areas respond to virtually all seating requirements. Single-column round or square tables in compact formats for cafeterias and double-column, multi-purpose rectangular tables complement the range with suitable tables.

Wilkhahn will showcase two new products in the range for the first time. In addition to the existing skid-base chairs with upholstered seat frames, the black, grey and white models will also be optionally available with seat shells and upholstery. As a result, there is a greater choice of designs to choose from because different fabrics and colours can be used in the seat. The upholstered models are also stackable thanks to an optional stacking bumper.

In addition to the round tables in the compact formats (60 and 75 cm diameters with 12 mm thick HPL table tops), large formats up to 90 to 140 cm in diameter are also available. Up to eight people can sit here comfortably. The 25 mm thick MDF boards are black or white powder coated, the disc base and table column are made to match, optionally with a reflecting stainless steel cover and bright chromium-plated table column. Consequently Aline/230 range can now be used as a dining table in homes, as well as in meeting and conference spaces.
