SensoPart Industriesensorik is broadening its selection of high-performance vision colour sensors: the new VISOR\u00ae<\/sup> Color combines object and colour detection in one device for the very first time and thus unveils new areas of application.<\/p>\n

SensoPart\u2019s newly-developed vision colour sensor, VISOR\u00ae<\/sup> Color, fills the gap between standard, switching colour sensors and costly image processing systems. This cost-effective option allows automation of previous visual inspections and the expansion of existing processes to include colour analysis, thus guaranteeing improved object detection.<\/p>\n

Parameterisation options for colour analysis are extensive and make a high-performance and reliable detection possible even with slight differences in shade, or luminous components. Combining colour and object detection opens up a variety of applications involving the inspection and sorting of objects according to shape and colour, such as e.g. quality inspection of complex components in the automotive industry and in machine construction (completeness check, position check, part differentiation\/assignment\/sorting) or the inspection of coloured LEDs and colour screens.<\/p>\n

Precise analysis thanks to a high resolution<\/strong>
\nThe VISOR\u00ae<\/sup> colour is equipped with a colour chip (WVGA or SXGA resolution) instead of the standard monochrome image chip used by vision sensors. \u00a0The high-resolution version of the vision colour sensor with 1.3 megapixels enables extremely precise analysis of image details as well as the assessment of larger sections. The sensor is available in versions with integrated optics and LED lighting, as well as versions with a C\/CS mount.<\/p>\n

Extensive logic functions enable the direct assignment of inspection results to one of 6 digital result outputs; if necessary an additional 32 signal outputs are possible with the I\/O box, which is available in the accessory range. \u00a0VISOR\u00ae<\/sup> Color is set up using the standardised VISOR\u00ae <\/sup>interface which can be used to configure complex inspection tasks without detailed knowledge of image processing. The VISOR\u00ae<\/sup> software package, included with the sensor, consists of configuration and viewer software with hierarchical user rights and integrated context-sensitive help.<\/p>\n
