Jungheinrich Counterbalanced Stacker EFG S40s captures IFOY Award

Jungheinrich was successful in the Counterbalanced Trucks Over 3.5 Tonnes\u201d category in the International Forklift Truck of the Year Award (IFOY). A high-calibre jury composed of international trade journalists selected the Jungheinrich EFG S40s for the award.<\/p>\n

This forklift is an electronically controlled, battery-powered EFG S40s counterbalanced forklift truck. Developed and produced at the Jungheinrich plant in Moosburg, Germany, the forklift truck was unveiled to a world audience at bauma 2013 in Munich.<\/p>\n

The key design feature of this stacker generation consists of the Pure Energy concept, which employs the latest generation of environmentally friendly Jungheinrich three-phase AC technology. The interaction between the Jungheinrich original-design motors and the electronic controllers has been further refined, and the high-frequency actuation of the three-phase AC motors results in extremely high cost efficiency. The spatial arrangement of the truck\u2019s control system greatly reduces the length and number of lines needed to connect the various components, while the length of hydraulic tubing has likewise been significantly reduced by connecting components directly with the hydraulic block wherever possible.<\/p>\n
