GTT (Gaztransport & Technigaz) and SYMETRIE celebrate the hexapod SIROCCO.<\/p>\n

For over 10 years, GTT (Gaztransport &Technigaz) and SYMETRIE have worked together on developing some of the most sophisticated testing equipment for liquid motion. GTT, the world leader in the design of containment systems using cryogenic membranes for the transport of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), called on SYMETRIE to help develop testing instruments that can simulate the impact of sea voyages via LNGCs on the LNG cargo.<\/p>\n

GTT\u2019s first hexapod, SIROCCO, entered into service in September 2004. Since arriving in the GTT laboratories, it has simulated voyages of over 15,751,260 kilometers, the equivalent of 390 circumnavigations of the globe.<\/p>\n

Commenting on this milestone, Olivier Lapierre, CEO of SYMETRIE, declared \u201cFollowing the first request of GTT in 2004, we developed a range of more and more efficient and powerful swell simulation hexapods. The quality of the both companies\u2019 engineering teams allowed us to address technical challenges and to provide solutions tailored to their needs. Our experience and excellent relationships with GTT led us to design and offer innovative and reliable systems in the field of naval testing, giving SYMETRIE an international visibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marking the 10 years of SIROCCO\u2019s arrival to the GTT laboratories, GTT CEO, Philippe Berterotti\u00e8re stated, \u201cTest instruments have allowed GTT to make great progress in understanding the phenomenon of liquid movement.\u00a0 Today, GTT is universally recognized for our expertise in this area.
