{"id":24632,"date":"2017-02-09T18:43:29","date_gmt":"2017-02-09T17:43:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.expo21xx.com\/news\/?p=24632"},"modified":"2017-02-10T09:13:47","modified_gmt":"2017-02-10T08:13:47","slug":"sony-gs-cmos-cameras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.expo21xx.com\/news\/sony-gs-cmos-cameras\/","title":{"rendered":"Sony showcased its latest GS CMOS cameras at Vision 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_24633\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 225px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-24633 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.expo21xx.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sony-GS-CMOS-cameras.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.expo21xx.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sony-GS-CMOS-cameras.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.expo21xx.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sony-GS-CMOS-cameras-117x104.jpg 117w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><i>Photo by Sony Corporation<\/i><\/p><\/div>\n<p>At Vision 2016 exhibition in Stuttgart, Sony Europe\u2019s Image Sensing Solutions unveiled its latest series of GS CMOS cameras offering clear benefits to designers and end users in factory automation and non-manufacturing markets.<\/p>\n<p>The XCL-SG510 is a high-frame-rate Camera Link V2.0 module with global shutter that allows high-speed moving objects to be captured accurately, giving images of 5.1 megapixels at 154 frames per second.<\/p>\n<p>Designed around the Sony 2\/3-type Exmor\u24c7 CMOS sensor with Pregius technology, the module has been created by the Sony engineering team to extract the best-possible image from the market leading sensor &#8211; even in low light conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The XCL-SG510 series follows Sony\u2019s recent preview of the 5.1 MP GigE range of CMOS industrial cameras. The XCL-CG510 was also on the Sony Vision stand and is available for shipping.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fast-growing range of GS CMOS cameras is the culmination of Sony\u2019s 30 years of R&amp;D in the machine vision market. As customers would expect from Sony ISS, the module\u2019s design extracts the full capabilities of the Sony Exmor sensor to deliver an unrivalled image quality from the chip\u201d, said Arnaud Destruels, European Marketing Manager, Sony Image Sensing Solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Image processing capabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The module offers an impressive array of image processing features: from shading \/ error correction, wide dynamic range and frame accumulation to area exposure, area gain and multi ROI (region of interest) imaging. They can be hardware and software triggered, incorporating edge detection, pulse width detection, bulk trigger and sequential trigger modes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical specifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The series\u2019 b\/w module has a minimum illumination of just 0.5 lx, the colour module requires just 12 lx and comes with a one-push white balance.
