With the Han-Modular\u00ae Sliding Frame, HARTING has developed a new connector for Motor Control Centers (MCC). By using the connector, the drawer system can \u2013 mechanically simple \u2013 take a test position. Power connection is achieved in the subsequent position. The customer benefits from the simple mechanics of the system as well as the broad range of modules within the Han-Modular\u00ae series.<\/p>\n
Up to now, docking connectors have only featured the \u201cplugged in\u201d and \u201cnot plugged in\u201d states. The Han-Modular\u00ae Sliding Frame now allows three different plug-in states \u2013 and thus offers completely new solutions for drawer systems.<\/p>\n
1. \u201cUnplugged position\u201d: The signal connector and the power connector are both unplugged. The drawer is not in the switch cabinet.<\/p>\n
2. \u201cTesting position\u201d: The drawer is pushed into the switch cabinet and the signal connector is mated in the sliding frame. Between both sides of the power connector, which is located next to the signal connector, a distance of about 35 mm remains so that no power is transmitted. The system is in a safe state and can be checked via the inserted signal connector.<\/p>\n
3. \u201cWorking position\u201d: After the test has been performed, the drawer including the power connector can be pushed completely into the switch cabinet. Here, the signal connector in the Han-Modular\u00ae Sliding Frame moves in the direction of the cabinet\u2019s rear panel along with the drawer \u2013 until the power connector is also in the working position. The system can now safely be put into operation.<\/p>\n
