General industrial automation applications using electric actuators for transfer and assembly<\/a> can now enjoy increased productivity, with reduced cycle times and improved production quality and safety, following the launch of SMC\u2019s new pulse type AC Servo Motor Driver \u2013 Series LECS.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Developed initially for use with SMC\u2019s growing range of electric actuators, Series LECS is available with a choice of incremental (LECSA) or absolute (LECSB) type encoders with both models sharing many of the same performance features and functions including, auto gain tuning with an auto resonant filter function and an auto damping control function to help control low frequency vibrations of a machine (up to 100Hz).\u00a0However, the major difference between the two models is that the absolute option (LECSB) has been designed with an integral battery to ensure that the cycle time is not interrupted in the event of a voltage drop or complete power failure.\u00a0With a user friendly display setting function, one touch servo adjustment of parameter settings, monitor display, etc, can be made quickly, at the touch of a button.<\/p>\n

Series LECS servo motor drives can operate with 100-120 VAC(50\/60Hz) and 200 \u2013 230 VAC(50\/60 Hz) power supplies and are compatible for use with 100, 200 or 400W motor capacities.<\/p>\n

Both CE and RoHs compliant, Series LECS is suitable for use with SMC\u2019s Series LEY, LEF, LJ1, LG1 and LTF electric actuator ranges.<\/p>\n
