Epson Europe Electronics GmbH (“Epson”) announces the availability of the RX8804 DTCXO RTC with precise time keeping, higher accuracy over temperature and low power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for precision time keeping, Epson\u2019s RX8804 uses Digitally Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator (DTCXO) technology to achieve \u00b13.4 or \u00b18 ppm accuracy over temperature of -40 to +85 \u00b0C or -40 to +105 \u00b0C respectively, equivalent to 9 or 20 seconds per month. This high accuracy is essential for precise time keeping, as required by eMeters, lighting, and other industrial or outdoor applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epson\u2019s RX8804 includes a crystal, a digitally temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (DTCXO), and counters to keep track of time and date. Epson\u2019s RX8804 also includes automatic battery backup and time-keeping functions such as alarms and timers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Epson\u2019s RX8804 with a supply voltage of 1.6-5.5 V is low power 0.35 \u03bcA (typ) backup current, has a clock output of 1 Hz, 1024 Hz, or 32.768 kHz and is offered in a small package (3.2 x 2.5 x 1.0 mm3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
