Examples are narrow band pyrometers around 5 \u00b5m wavelength for glass temperature measurement, around 4.5 \u00b5m (CO2 measurements), around 3.9 \u00b5m (measurements through flames) and around 3.4 \u00b5m (measurements on thin plastic films). Among others, thermopile infrared detectors have been used in these pyrometers. Consequently, due to the thermal time constants, only relatively slow pyrometers (response time between 10 ms and 100 ms) are possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Faster response times<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DIAS Infrared is now expanding its range of PYROSPOT pyrometers, which are faster and more sensitive in the mid-infrared spectral range. This is possible through the use of new MWIR detectors. The first devices to come onto the market are the pyrometers PYROSPOT DA 44G for glass temperature measurement (around 5 \u00b5m, measurement temperatures from 50 \u00b0C to 2500 \u00b0C) and DA 44F for measurements through flames (around 3.9 \u00b5m, 100 \u00b0C to 2500 \u00b0C). The response time (t95) is only 5 ms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These new PYROSPOT pyrometers have been presented for the first time from June 25th, 2019 at the trade fair THERMPROCESS (D\u00fcsseldorf, booth D78, hall 10).
