As one of Sensirion\u2019s industry-proven humidity and temperature sensors, the SHT40 offers an unmatched price-performance ratio on the global market. Tape and reel packaging combined with its suitability for standard SMD assembly processes make the SHT40 ideal for high-volume applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SHT40 builds on a completely new and optimized CMOSens\u00ae chip offering ultra-low power consumption and industry-leading accuracy specifications. Sensirion\u2019s CMOSens\u00ae Technology provides a complete sensor system on a single chip, with a fully calibrated digital I2C fast-mode plus interface. The sensor covers operating ranges from 0 to 100 % RH and from-40\u00b0C to 125\u00b0C with accuracies of \u00b11.8% RH and \u00b10.2\u00b0C. With the extended supply voltage range from 1.08 V to 3.6 V and 400 nA average current, the SHT40 is perfectly suited for mobile and battery-driven applications. The exceptionally small size in a robust DFN housing enables integration into challenging designs while meeting the highest reliability demands, as demonstrated by the JEDEC JESD47 qualification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-accuracy versions SHT41 and SHT45 will be available this year. They feature typical and maximal accuracies that have been honed down to \u2206RH = \u00b1 1.5% RH and \u2206T = \u00b1 0.1\u00b0C, making them suitable for the most demanding applications in all industries. The year 2021 will also bring additional protection options to complete the portfolio, meeting even the most rigorous technological challenges. The on-package filter membrane ensures IP67 compliance for exposed designs, while the protection option ensures reliable conformal coating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
