With the new type of safety relay myPNOZ from the automation expert Pilz, innovative strength meets “good” design. This is confirmed by the Red Dot Jury, with the awarding of the Red Dot Design Award in the category \u201cIndustrial Equipment, Machinery and Automation\u201d. The international jury only awards this quality mark to products that exhibit outstanding design. Above all the jury was convinced by the practical flexibility of the myPNOZ, the first modular safety relay to offer the market tailor-made safety in batch size 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The safety relay myPNOZ monitors functions such as E-STOP, safety gates or two-hand controls. The key feature of the modular safety relay is a new type of continuous digital process via an online tool: Users can create, simulate and order their safety solution in the \u201cmyPNOZ Creator\u201d \u2013 the Creator assembles the optimum hardware as an individual solution. The user receives a product that\u2019s assembled, set and tested individually, ready for commissioning. The jury was convinced by the practical flexibility of the myPNOZ, which helps customers and users to adjust the modular safety relay to specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe winning products display profound creativity. It’s both remarkable and commendable that there are still designs that surprise you in terms of form and functionality”, says Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder and CEO of Red Dot. In keeping with the theme for this year’s award, \u201cIn search of good design and innovation\u201d, he explains: \u201cThe fact that the quality matches the level of innovation means these products are well-deserved winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Red Dot \u2013 A mark of quality for good design<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With around 20,000 submissions, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. An independent panel of experts, the Red Dot Jury, decides on the awards. This year it is composed of 48 people from 23 nations. The winning products was displayed in Essen’s Red Dot Design Museum until May 2023, as part of the \u201cDesign on Stage\u201d exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
