Since October 27th, after almost 20 years in the medical device industry, Heraeus Medical Components operates under a new name, Heraeus Medevio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new name reflects Medevio\u2019s expanding offerings in design, development, and commercialization for its partners in the medical device industry while maintaining its expertise in assemblies, components, and supply chain optimization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name, which was selected through an intentional process involving employees, leadership, and customer feedback, is made up of three elements; \u201cmed,\u201d representing the company\u2019s foundation in medical components, \u201cdev,\u201d for the current expanded expertise in design and development, and \u201cvio,\u201d reflecting the path the company is on to reach its vision of improving 100 million lives each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Reimer, President of Heraeus Medevio, reflects on this step in the company\u2019s journey; \u201cThe need for medical device OEMs and start-ups to outsource has grown in recent years as the need for expertise, agility, and focus has become more critical. Our company has and will continue to grow to meet the needs of our partners and act as an extension to fill any gaps they have in their product life cycles, from concept forward. With this new name, I am excited to represent and reflect our company\u2019s growth journey, expanded expertise, and continued progress towards our vision of improving 100 million lives each year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
