If enclosures are used as operating terminals, for example, the buttons and displays installed on the outer door are often exposed to the weather or unauthorised access without any protection. Rittal is now providing greater security for the terminals \u2013 and for the operating personnel \u2013 with a new standard solution for interior doors. The accessory extension, which is available for AX plastic enclosures and AX sheet steel compact enclosures, can be quickly and easily installed in the enclosure as a second level and an operator panel, without any machining being needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The enclosures\u2019 technical and operating levels can be separated from each other with the new interior doors from Rittal. On the one hand, this offers protection for the components installed in the rear of the enclosure and, at the same time, it defends the operating personnel from electrically live parts. The surface of the interior door can also be used as an additional mounting level to install buttons and displays, etc., so offering extra assembly space within the enclosure. Depending on the application and requirements, the interior door can be installed in the enclosure at a variety of depths and thus flexibly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The respective interior door is installed quickly, with both the AX plastic enclosures and the AX compact enclosures made of sheet steel, without the enclosure needing to be machined. The interior door in the plastic AX enclosure is easily fitted using the lateral mounting bosses. In the sheet-steel AX version, it is fitted using the rail for interior installation on the embossed locator within the enclosure. For plant manufacturers, this eliminates the need for time-consuming and expensive in-house design work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enclosures with protected control components on the interior door are used, for example, in harsh outdoor environments: in special vehicles such as tankers and cranes, but also water and wastewater management, such as in sewage treatment plants, the maritime industry in ports, at airports and in railway and tunnel applications, for example for signal control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
