Hungrana, a leading sugar producer based in Hungary, has recently invested in a tailor-made biomass boiler to support its operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This investment is part of Hungrana’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing its environmental impact while increasing its production capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ANDRITZ TEP d.o.o, a provider of complete power plant solutions and one of the leading European boiler manufacturers, was chosen for the design, production, delivery, associated civil works and erection of the boiler and all related equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hungrana already operates several boilers using different biomass fuels. The new wood chips boiler from ANDRITZ will further increase Hungrana\u2019s steam production capacity from renewable resources. Operating at 12 bar(g) and 220\u00b0C, it will add 32 tons of steam per hour. Thus, Hungrana is positioning itself as a leader in the industry, providing customers with high-quality products while reducing its usage of gas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boiler production started in June, with the start of construction work planned for September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are excited about this investment and the positive impact it will have on our business and the environment,” said Zolt\u00e1n Reng, CEO of Hungrana. “We are committed to sustainable practices and reducing our carbon footprint, and the biomass boiler is a significant step in that direction.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
