Hartmann Valves GmbH was recently awarded the BSFZ Seal for their innovative spirit in the industry. The Certification Center for Research and Development Grants (BSFZ) recognizes companies that invest in research and development (R&D) to drive innovations in Germany. The award aims to encourage medium-sized enterprises, in particular, to increase their investments in R&D and thus strengthen the country’s innovation capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research and development have played a significant role at Hartmann Valves since its founding in 1946. The company patented the ball valve in the mid-1950s. Over the subsequent decades, more innovations followed, and in the mid-1980s, the company developed the all-metal-seated ball valve, which has since become a global standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, the company reached another milestone by separating the R&D department from its operational design unit. “The separation of research and development into a distinct department enables us to intensify the development of novelties and innovations,” said Christian Hartmann, CEO of Hartmann Valves GmbH. “The BSFZ Seal allows us, as a medium-sized company, to showcase our innovative spirit to the world. We are proud to have received the BSFZ Seal and see it as an obligation to continue driving groundbreaking innovations in the future. Our goal is to delight our customers with high-quality products and solutions while contributing to technological advancement in Germany,” Christian Hartmann added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hartmann Valves GmbH has received the BSFZ Seal for two research projects that have been eligible for funding since 2021. One project focuses on the development of high-pressure and high-temperature oxygen valves, and the other pertains to the development of control ball valves. With these projects, Hartmann Valves aims to set new standards for ball valves in the field of oxygen equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
