Dietmar G\u00f6hlich, Head of the Department of Product Development Methods &amp; Mechatronics at TU Berlin, and his team developed a functional prototype and integrated it into the process chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our modular&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.innok-robotics.de\/produkte\/heros?hsLang=en\">Innok HEROS<\/a>&nbsp;robot system provided the mobility platform for this, including sensors, control unit and power. The system was extended for the special application with a robot arm, a compress and a collection basket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We carried out very intensive international market research and ultimately determined that the HEROS offers the best overall package &#8211; it really only works with Innok and the HEROS.&#8221;<\/p><cite><em>Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietmar G\u00f6hlich,&nbsp;Head of the Department of Methods of Product Development &amp; Mechatronics,&nbsp;TU Berlin<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>With the Innok&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.innok-robotics.de\/produkte\/heros?hsLang=en\">HEROS<\/a>&nbsp;as a basic platform, the extent to which a specially developed service robot can support and improve waste management processes in a large city like Berlin was tested. The aim is to avoid CO2 emissions and use energy more efficiently, as well as to support the BSR in its tasks with regard to future structural changes and the resulting challenges and problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&#8220;We needed a successful combination of actuators, sensors and software, and that convinced us.&#8221;<\/p><cite><em>Prof. Dr.-Ing.
