Vanderlande is installing a state-of-the-art logistics automation system at ASICS Oceania’s Marsden Park distribution center in Sydney, Australia. As the center approaches its capacity, this new system is crucial for supporting ASICS’s significant growth. The handover is scheduled for April 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASICS is a top global brand for running shoes, catering to both professionals and dedicated enthusiasts. Operating from its Marsden Park facility, ASICS distributes footwear, apparel, and accessories across Australia through wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels. Vanderlande has been collaborating with ASICS since 2019, when it installed a POSISORTER, a sliding shoe sorter, at the distribution center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest installation covers key warehouse functions, including inbound and outbound flows, storage, carton handling and palletising. At the heart of the solution are Vanderlande\u2019s intelligent automated storage and retrieval system (AS\/RS) ADAPTO, and its High Dynamic Storage (HDS) shuttle system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These two systems will combine seamlessly to provide fast and accurate order fulfilment that facilitates timely deliveries, while enabling ASICS to nearly double its current capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe new system perfectly suits our requirements by allowing us to increase capacity and flexibility at our busy DC,\u201d says Michael Masulans, General Manager at ASICS Oceania. \u201cIt will help us to improve the customer experience and accommodate seasonal variations more effectively. We are also excited by the system\u2019s innovative ergonomics, and pleased with the effort Vanderlande has put in to keep operators safely away from heavy\/moving equipment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in the midst of installing the new system, and our partnership with ASICS is proving to be as productive as it was when we introduced our POSISORTER solution,\u201d says Jordan Thrupp, Vanderlande\u2019s Executive Director for Warehouse Solutions in Australia. \u201cIt is always very satisfying to collaborate with an existing customer to help them grow their business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
