Dunkermotoren, a brand of\u00a0AMETEK, now offers its customers a safety library for its\u00a0smart motors\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0control electronics\u00a0with integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality. This includes the entire series of brushless DC motors in the dPro family, as well as the external control electronics BGE 5510 dPro. The availability of the safety library allows an easy determination of overall system safety using a calculation tool.<\/p>\n\n\n

The free SISTEMA software assistant from IFA provides machine manufacturers with automated assistance in calculating the safety of their entire system. Various components can be recorded in the software with their risk parameters, and the impacts of individual changes, including the achieved performance level of the system, can be automatically determined. These safety-relevant data can be easily copied into a project using the library. This eliminates the need for manual transfer and the associated risk of errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
