They are either equipped with\u00a0CANopen\u00a0or now also with\u00a0CAN-J1939\u00a0interface, making them very easy to integrate. Due to their\u00a0robust signaling,\u00a0they are suitable for use in agricultural machinery and mobile equipment, including demanding conditions. For example, distance measurement reliably detects a wide variety of objects in the exit area of a vehicle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Best Reflection&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong>detects the object with the best reflection properties, whereas interfering objects are simply suppressed. For example, the sensor can measure the fill level of a tank through the plastic wall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&#8220;Fastest Velocity&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong>uses velocity measurement to detect the object that moves towards or away from the sensor the fastest. This operating mode is used, for example, to monitor the travel path of automated guided vehicles (AGVs).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Methodological Stability<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Radar waves are extremely\u00a0resistant to interference\u00a0such as rain, fog, wind, dust, and temperature fluctuations. Using the\u00a0frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW)\u00a0method, the industrial radar sensors reliably generate\u00a0stable signals\u00a0for comprehensive detection within the detection range. The hardware is housed in a very compact housing with\u00a0IP68\/69\u00a0degree of protection. The rotatable and tiltable sensor head can be aligned to the target area in virtually all installations. This makes it very easy to integrate the devices into an existing CAN bus infrastructure without the need for complex individual wiring. In addition to the standardized\u00a0M12 connector, fixed cables and special connectors such as\u00a0DEUTSCH\u00a0and\u00a0AMP Superseal,\u00a0which were primarily developed for vehicles, are also available for the electrical connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Optimized for Mobile Use<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The measuring principle, hardware, and signal transmission are equally designed for robustness.\u00a0This means that the industrial radar sensors are optimized for use in\u00a0vehicles and mobile machines\u00a0both\u00a0indoors and outdoors.\u00a0With their long range of up to more than\u00a025 m,\u00a0they detect an\u00a0extensive area\u00a0within the radius of action of vehicles or their booms. To cover multiple areas, several devices can be mounted in close proximity to each other. When used in\u00a0agriculture,\u00a0they have to withstand particularly harsh conditions. They serve many different purposes on agricultural machinery, such as speed measurement on\u00a0seed drills, level measurement on\u00a0field sprayers,\u00a0or collision protection on\u00a0harvesting machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The devices precisely measure the actual movement of the vehicles relative to the ground\u00a0(speed over ground).\u00a0Bumpy ground is reliably detected and interfering objects such as plants are suppressed. In spray agent tanks, the devices measure the fill level through the plastic tank wall and can also be easily retrofitted. The sensors therefore enable continuous monitoring of consumption to optimize the use of spraying agents. In\u00a0intralogistics and merchandise management, the industrial radar sensors can perform similar control and safety tasks.
