One of Unisign\u2019s customers has been operating two Unisign machines \u2014 a UNIVERS5 and a UNIPORT6 \u2014 both of which were delivered in 1999 and are used on a daily basis. Since last year, the UNIPORT6 has presented a suboptimal situation for the customer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original screen of the UNIPORT6 had stopped working, requiring operators to rely on an externally connected monitor to run the machine. Although this workaround allowed continued operation, it fell short in terms of user-friendliness and reliability\u2014especially considering that the control system was 25 years old and some components were no longer available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solution<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Unisign was requested to carry out a retrofit of the control system<\/strong> for the UNIPORT6. Following thorough preparation, this project was successfully executed by Unisign Services<\/strong> in early 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
