Vinegar and syrup producer Burg Group has significantly increased its production efficiency by upgrading a Qimarox palletiser at its Heerhugowaard facility in the Netherlands. The upgrade, carried out by QU&S, was part of the relocation of a full production line from Roosdaal, Belgium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doubling Capacity with a Dual Infeed Conveyor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To handle the increased throughput, QU&S modified the existing palletiser with a second infeed conveyor. This enhancement raised the system’s capacity from 14 to up to 35 trays per minute\u2014more than doubling its performance. The upgrade enables Burg Group to stack products faster and more efficiently, supporting growing production demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Long-Standing Partnership for Smart Automation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Burg Group and QU&S have worked together since 2003, when the first Lowrunner palletiser was installed in Heerhugowaard. Over the years, the partnership expanded with additional Highrunner units and regular system upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2021, QU&S relocated another Highrunner from Klundert to Heerhugowaard to further expand capacity. Their ongoing collaboration reflects a shared commitment to smart, scalable logistics automation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Proactive Maintenance for Maximum Uptime<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

QU&S ensures smooth operation by performing annual checks on all mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Preventive maintenance minimizes disruption and maximizes uptime\u2014critical for a company focused on continuous production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The January 2023 relocation of an entire production line posed significant challenges. Coordinating multiple teams and systems led to some initial startup issues, but QU&S responded quickly to resolve them. The final result: a fully integrated, high-capacity palletising system tailored to Burg Group\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
