This recognition came at the third annual Swiss Plastics Expo Award ceremony on January\u202f22\u202f2026.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Autonomous Injection Moulding Cell Captures Public Vote<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ENGEL\u2019s evolution from inject\u202f4.0 to inject\u202fAI secured the audience\u2019s support, making the intelligent production cell the standout solution of the event. The autonomous cell, based on the all\u2011electric e\u2011mac\u202f80 machine and driven by digital assistance systems from the inject\u202fAI portfolio, autonomously manages key process parameters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AI\u2011Driven Production Responds to Industry Needs<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The autonomous cell minimises material use, cuts setup times, and eliminates scrap \u2014 even without deep operator expertise. This approach directly addresses challenges in quality demands, labour shortages, and process optimisation that many plastics processors face today.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expo Showcases Industry Trends<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Swiss Plastics Expo 2026 brought together over 3,800 industry professionals and around 200 exhibitors showcasing modern, resource\u2011efficient plastics processing solutions.
