Standex-Meder Electronics, a global manufacturer of reed switches, sensors, relays and magnetics, announces its new MK28 vane-operated sensor for harsh environments<\/a>. These sensors combine the reed sensor and actuator magnet in the same rugged housing, and are ideal for applications in the automotive, industrial automation equipment, and robotics industries.<\/p>\n

At the heart of this sensor is an integral magnetic reed switch from Standex-Meder Electronics, the world leader in magnetic reed switch design and manufacture. Actuation occurs when a suitable vane passes through the slot between the actuator magnet and the switch.<\/p>\n

The MK28 vane sensor is available in three versions: normally open, normally closed, and changeover. All versions can be enclosed in custom-tooled housing to meet customer specifications, and all internal PCBs are manufactured using Standex-Meder\u2019s in-house SMT assembly processes for utmost quality.<\/p>\n
