Integral V Technology
Pacific Bearing Company is pleased to announce the
introduction of the new, innovative Integral V™ system. The Integral V
system was developed to reduce costs, increase application flexibility and
ease of installation. The rail consists of durable anodized aluminum framing
and carbon steel angled raceways. Utilizing Integral V Technology, Integral
V components consist of various guide rails, snap-in clamps and carriages;
each lending itself to high load capacity, rigidity and torque resistance.

Gliding Surface Technology
Gliding Surface Technology adapts plane bearing design
to different profiles and configurations. In its most basic form, a slide
consists of a carriage and rail, but some slides have an optional screw
drive. The bearing surface is typically a polymer that tends to be self
lubricating. Advantages of this technology over rolling elements include
lower profiles, compact size, the ability to handle severe environments, and
smooth, quiet linear motion.

Round Shaft Technology
Round Shaft Technology utilizes precision round
shafting as the guide way, and combines with linear plane bearings or linear
ball bearings for movement. While the shafting is often hardened steel,
other materials such as stainless steel and aluminum are also readily
available. RST bearings and shafting are available in such a wide variety of
bearing configurations, and offer solutions for an extensive range of
applications. Rail supported round shafting coupled with open bearings
offers additional rigidity for heavier loads.

Linear Slide Technology
Linear Slide Technology excels in harsh, contaminated
environments and handles heavy loads. Choose from modular components, low
profile slides, and high profile slides. The basic configuration consists of
an open pillow block installed on a steel shaft attached to a support rail.
The rest of the slides build upon this concept to include parallel rails,
top and bottom plates, and screw drives. The screw drives can be fitted with
a hand crank, hand wheel, or a motor mount bracket for standard NEMA motor
attachment. Modular components are ideal where the customer desires more
flexibility in spacing, going with either a single rail or spacing parallel
rails further apart than a catalog system is specified. The low profile
systems provide the same benefits and basic configurations of the standard
high profile slides, but are a good solution where space constraints are an
issue.
