Zaber's T-LSM series devices are computer-controlled motorized linear
stages with high thrust and speed capabilities and a very compact size.
They are stand-alone units requiring only a standard 15V power supply. A
potentiometer knob at the end of the unit permits smooth manual control;
turn it fully to get maximum speed. These slides connect to the RS-232 port
of any computer and can be daisy-chained with up to 254 units per chain.
They can also be chained with any other T-Series products. Convenient 6-pin
mini din cables on the unit allow for direct interconnection between units
in close proximity. For longer distances, a standard cable extension can be
used.
At only 21 mm high, these miniature stages are excellent for
applications where a small profile is required. The T-LSM's innovative
design allows speeds up to 8 mm/s and loads up to 10 kg. Like all Zaber's
products, the T-LSM series is designed to be 'plug and play' and very easy
to set-up and operate. If you are considering a multi-axis system, in the XY
configuration these stages make excellent microscope stages. Adding a
T-JOY3 Joystick Controller allows manual control of both x and y or xyz axes
from a single interface as well as allowing microscope stage positions
to be saved and recalled at the touch of a button.

stages with a variety of lead screw pitches and travels. They are
stand-alone units requiring only a standard 15V power supply. A

Zaber's XY stages are made up of 2 linear stages. They come packaged
with all the accessories you will need to operate them in XY configuration.
The XY stages are powered by a standard power supply and connect to the
RS-232 port of any computer.

An x-y configuration makes an excellent microscope stage,
especially when combined with our T-JOY3 Joystick Controller allowing manual
control of both x and y or xyz axes from a single interface as well as
allowing microscope stage positions to be saved and recalled at the touch of
a button. T-LS stages are also commonly used in micromanipulator
applications.

translation stages with 0.1 µm resolution and 13 mm travel. They are
stand alone units requiring only a standard 15V power supply. Multiple units
can be daisy-chained to a single RS-232 serial port on any computer. They

Slides. T-LSR slides are designed for higher load, heavier duty, and can
be mounted in XY or XYZ configuration without additional hardware.

slides with 0.16 um resolution and up to 10.5 inches of travel. They are
stand-alone units requiring only a standard 15V power supply. They connect

Electric Linear Actuators: NA Series

These electric linear actuators, based on standard
NEMA
stepper motors, offer finer resolution, higher thrust, higher speed,
and longer lifetime compared to our T-LA series of linear actuators.
Each electric linear actuator includes 30cm of cable wired to a
mini-din 8 connector for use with our T-CD series stepper motor
controller
(shown above driving an NA11B-30 actuator) which must be purchased
separately. Linear actuators have a built in magnetic home sensor. In
addition to the listed linear actuators, we have larger NEMA size 17
and 23 actuators available in the same ranges of travel. Size 23 offers up
to 200 lb force. Please contact us for more details if you are interested in
higher thrust.
NA Series actuators are designed for use with our T-CD series Chopper
Drive controllers. These actuators achieve resolutions down to 0.05 um, with
a range of up to 60 mm. Controllers can be daisy chained with any other
Zaber T-Series products to a single serial or USB port.

Translation Stages: TSB Series
Zaber's TSB Series of translation stages are ball
bearing linear stages with 28mm or 60mm of travel. They are
compatible with our T-LA series miniature linear actuators and our
NA11 stepper linear actuators and can be used in x-y stage
configuration.
Vacuum compatible translation stages (TSBxx-xV) use vacuum compatible
greases and epoxies and non-anodized components. These translation stages
have been used successfully in vacuum applications down to 10-6 Torr.
These are ball bearing translation stages with 28mm or 60mm of
travel. They are completely compatible with our T-LA series of actuators and
our NA11 actuators. They can be mounted directly in xy configuration or xyz
configuration with NA11 actuator and angle bracket.

Motorized Rotary Stages: T-RS Series

Zaber's T-RS Series of precision motorized rotary
stages are stepper motor driven, worm gear rotary stages capable of a
full 360° rotation. Each rotary stage has an integrated microstepping
stepper motor controller, offering high resolution daisy-chainable
operation. The T-RS60 rotary stage is pictured above.

Zaber’s T-RS60 rotation stage provides precise, continuous 360°
rotation in a compact package. The compact bearing design allows the stage
to handle up to 45 kg (99 lb) of load. A precision worm gear provides a
120:1 ratio allowing a stage resolution of 0.00023 deg. The built-in
controller makes set-up a snap; just plug it into a computer and it is ready
to use.
Multiple units can be daisy-chained to the RS-232 of any computer (or USB
port with optional adaptor), and daisy-chained with any other T-Series
products. We provide sophisticated software to make controlling Zaber
devices easy. Simply select device you want to move, select a command (like
move absolute), and enter the desired position. After the move, the stage
reports its new position. Built in scripting allows you to easily set up
complex automation routines. We also provide all of our source code so that
you can customize our software for your application.
An optional knob permits smooth manual control at variable speeds in both
directions. During a manual move the stage constantly transmits its position
to computer and is displayed in the software...

Stepper Motors: NM Series
These size 17 NEMA stepper motors have built in
controllers and are available with an optional manual control knob.
Zaber's T-NM products are computer controlled NEMA size 17 motors with 0.028
degree resolution. They are stand alone units requiring only a standard 15V
power supply. Multiple units can be daisy-chained to a single RS-232 serial
port or USB port (using an adapter) on any computer. They can also be
daisy-chained with any other T-Series products. Convenient 6-pin mini din
cables on the unit allow for direct interconnection between units in close
proximity. For longer distances, standard cable extension can be used.

Stepper Motors with Built-in Controllers: T-NM
Series
These motors are available in standard NEMA sizes (8, 11,
17, 23, etc) and include 30 cm of cabled wired to a mini-din 8 connector for
use with our T-CD series stepper motor controller which must be
purchased separately. A detachable Hall effect switch and small magnet are
included for applications that require a home position sensor.
These standard NEMA frame size motors are designed for use with our
T-CD series chopper drive controllers, though they can easily be adapted for
use with other controllers. The T-CD controller can achieve 128 microsteps
per step for high resolution positioning applications. Controllers can be
daisy chained with each other and all Zaber T-series products allowing
control of multiple devices from a single serial or USB port.

Motorized Mirror Mounts: T-MM Series
The T-MM2 Series are motorized two axis mirror mounts.
They can be controlled manually or by using the RS-232 serial interface. The
T-MM2 is a computer controlled two axis mirror mount with 1.5 urad
(0.000086 deg) resolution and 187 mrad (10.5 deg) of angular travel. It is a
stand alone unit requiring only a 15V power supply. It has a built-in
controller and connects directly to the RS-232 port of any computer. T-MM2
devices can be daisy-chained with each other and any other T-Series
products. T-MM2 devices take up the space of two units (one for each axis)
on the daisy-chain which may be up to 254 units long. Convenient 6-pin mini
din cables allow for direct connection between units in close proximity. For
longer distances, standard cable extensions can be used.

Motorized Goniometers: LMG Series

What is a goniometer? A goniometer stage
(sometimes called a goniometer table) is a tilting stage that rotates about
a virtual axis fixed in space above the stage surface. Zaber's LMG Series
motorized goniometers are stepper motor driven positioning goniometers
designed to interface with our T-CD series Stepper Motor Controller offering
high resolution daisy-chainable operation. The LMG60 tilting goniometer
stages pictured above are crossed roller bearing goniometers with a
virtual axis of rotation 60mm above the goniometer stage surface
respectively. The goniometer stage is 20mm high.
The LMG Series goniometers are some of the most compact stages
of their type available. They provide precise rotational movement about an
axis in space directly above the stage surface.
The LMG Series goniometers are constructed with precise, accurate
positioning in mind. Their design incorporates a rigid yet lightweight
aluminum body with a brass top plate, pre-loaded cross-roller bearing
slides, worm screw drive, flex-couplings, opto limit switches and two
phase stepper motors compatible with Zaber's T-CD Series Stepper Motor
Controllers.

Stepper Motor Controller: T-MCA Series

Zabers T-MCA stepper motor controller is a
microstep driver offering microstepping down to 128 microsteps per step.
With a typical stepper motor having 200 steps per revolution, the
T-MCA stepper motor controller allows microstepping down to to 25600
microsteps per revolution. The T-MCA stepper controller can be used to
control any 2 phase stepper motor with continuous current draw up to 2.5A
per phase. The T-MCA controller can be used for stepper motor
control of the following products which can be purchased separately:

T-CD stepper motor controllers can be daisy-chained with any
T-Series products to a single serial or USB port..
A chopper drive is one method of driving a stepper motor with constant
current rather than constant voltage. This reduces the effects of counter
EMF and inductance, increasing torque at higher speeds.
One or more of Zaber's T-MCA chopper drives can be daisy-chained to a single
RS-232 serial port or USB port on any computer. They can also be
daisy-chained with any other T-Series products. Convenient 6-pin mini din
cables on the unit allow for direct interconnection between units in close
proximity. For longer distances, standard cable extension can be used. To
control motor position, simply transmit on the serial port the unit number
of the device you want to move, a simple move command and the position
desired. After the move, the T-MCA will report the final position.

Programmable Joystick: T-JOY Series

The T-JOY3 is a programmable joystick that can
control three independent axes of motion. The joystick can be daisy-chained
to any T-Series motion control products, allowing for a very flexible setup.
All 5 buttons of the joystick are programmable to store a location, recall a
location, or a host of other functions.
The joystick can run with or without a computer attached. In stand-alone
mode the joystick is a compact controller that fits easily on the lab
bench. Its functionality can be expanded simply by adding a computer or
laptop running Labview, Visual Basic, Microsoft Excel, or your own program.
The T-JOY3 programmable joystick is the ideal controller for microscope,
x-y, or x-y-z stage applications.
The joystick is compatible with all T-Series products, such as the T-LS
Motorized Linear Slides.
The T-JOY3 is an easy-to-use, yet programmable joystick that can be used
stand-alone to control up to three axis of T-Series actuators. It may also
be used in conjunction with a computer for additional power and flexibility.
