Linear Motor Systems
The self-developed KML Linear Motor System-concept covers a large range of positioning units with integrated direct drive, which is realized by using a linear motor.

 
KML LINEAR MOTOR SYSTEMS LMS2-SERIES
The LMS2-Series of the standard KML LinearMotorSystems was developed in order to position smaller to middle loads with high dynamics. It is characterised further by a very high power density enabled by the compact structure and high performance motors. Due to the rigid and vibration-poor construction even high positioning accuracies can be achieved with forced dynamics.
KML-LINEAR MOTOR SYSTEMS LMS3-SERIES
The LMS3-Series of the standard KML LinearMotorSystems is perfectly fitted to position middle to larger loads with high dynamics. The use of very strong linear motors which are space-saving integrated in the compact construction makes a very high power density possible.
KML LINEAR MOTOR SYSTEMS LMSU-SERIES
The extremely compact design of the LMSU series makes possible the assignment in extremely compact applications. The performance concept of this series was developed in order to position small to middle loads with highest dynamics. The primary part of the used kind of linear motor is implemented without iron core. This makes possible a cogging-free operation since no advantages position adjusts itself.
KML CUSTOMIZED LINEAR MOTOR SYSTEMS
In order to be able to deal with special applications of customers, which the standard program does not cover optimally co-ordinated special solutions were sketched. These projects are realizable within a short time in close co-operation with the customer, from the prototype to the series production. In order to find as cost-efficient solutions as possible the design department turns back to the extensive modular assembly system of the standard solutions. Thereby short delivery times and flexible quantities from the single copy to mass production of special solutions can by realized.

XY-PRECISION LINEAR TABLE
A very rigid and compact structure with a cantilever pallet is demanded. Short cycle time rates with high dynamics may not cause vibrations. Due to final's application high repeating and system accuracies are needed. Parallelism, flatness and angularity of the tables to each other may deviate over the entire stroke only few 1/100 mm. The entire assembly must be clean room suited. Function and quality assurance must be ensured by the supplier.
PCB-BOARD HANDLING SYSTEM
PCBs must be transported over a long way by belt drive. An open construction is needed since different systems must access the PCB. A high rigidity is demanded. Vibrations are forbidden. The width adjustment for the different plate sizes must happen fully automatic. High accuracies of the linear races are necessary in order to avoid a blocking of the plates during transport. An abrasion with the contact surfaces must be prevented. Particularly with a use of several parallel assemblies a increased system accuracy is needed. The entire building group must be clean room suited. Function and quality assurance ensured by the supplier.
TURNING & LIFTING UNIT
For chemical treatment process at the workpiece a compact two axis system for a turning stroke with modular structure and uniform interface was demanded to the platform. In order to be able to ensure a process security during processing of the sensitive workpiece under external changing dynamic effects a very rigid and vibration-poor construction method is necessary. Truth of running of the high-dynamic turning unit under microns are requested. Due to the extremely aggressive media special materials and finish quality are inevitable. Since the machines are used in the three-shift operation, an appropriate reliability and stability are necessary. All relevant positions of the unit must be easily attainable for maintenance and service work. The entire assembly must correspond to a defined clean room class. The functional inspection takes place by the supplier.

LINE TECH POSITIONING SYSTEMS
LINETECH - positioning systems built after a modular construction system are excellent suited for applications with high precision and performance requirements due to their constructional characteristics. Four sizes as well as the application-oriented selection of mechanical drives permit optimal problem solutions.
LINEARACTUATOR
The new EXLAR linear actuators with integrated hollow shaft servo motors and the patented roller screws are excellently suited for usage in constructional engineering. Particularly excellent are the high life time (5 to 15 time more than with ballscrews) the extremely compact design with highest forces and the high rigidity of the drive for tasks with precise positioning.
LINEARMOTORS
The principle of the linear motor was developed from the structure of the revolving electrical servomotors. The new design contains of ironless or ironcore winding slide (primary part) and the secondary parts in which the magnets are arranged. The simple and economical structure ensures a high readiness of application. The motors are very durable and possess an industrial fitness as they are demanded for continuous use under most adverse conditions.
 
BALLSCREWS
Ballscrews are mechanical components for the conversion of rotating motion to longitudinal movements and vice versa. This conversion is made possible by rolling balls, which are arranged in precision grooves between a screwed shaft and nut. Owing to these characteristics ballscrews for all applications are essential, with which high speeds, accuracies and reliability are requested over a long service life.
PRECISION 60CASE SHAFTS
KML high precision 60case shafts are inductively hardened and grinded steel shafts with high surface quality, tolerance class h6 or js4 according to DIN/ISO standard. As mechanical components they work satisfactorily as guiding shafts, gear shift levers, pushrods and for related applications.
FORCE MEASURING BEARINGS
With FMS force measuring and controlling systems web tension can be constantly measured and adjusted automatically. Ensuring continuous quality and avoiding rejects. FMS Force measuring – and controlling systems consist force measuring sensors and the electronic equipment. Force measuring bearings are assembled with a force measuring housing and a built in rolling bearing (except force measuring blocks) They solve the following two tasks:
  • Guiding of shafts and rollers
  • measurement of the web tension from foils, wires & cables
